Autumn Equinox Yoga for Balance

with Amy Pearce-Hayden, E-RYT 500   1:00-2:00pm

FREE (donations appreciated)

Join Amy for an hour of practice designed to cultivate and connect with the energy of the Equinox; balance, itself.  Just as the earth has natural rhythms, so do each of us. During this practice we will explore the alchemy of equals: movement and stillness, strength and surrender, active and passive, and expression and potential.

Take this time to ground and create space for the more yin and inner work of the season.

Appropriate for all levels, all are welcome. Please bring a yoga mat.

6pm-8pm Equinox Celebration with Samantha Sinai

Samantha will begin by offering a short meditation while playing live, original cello music. She will then lead the group in singing beautiful, repetitive melodies that layer to form a tapestry of harmonies. This type of singing, which does not require any previous singing experience, can be rejuvenating and encourages participants to express the human experience through song.

Samantha Sinai, cellist, music therapist, and cello teacher, is extremely passionate about bringing music to people in accessible, meaningful ways. Samantha recently received her Master's of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and currently works as a Music Therapist at the American Family Children's Hospital. One of Samantha's most recent projects has been developing Community in Harmony, a bridge building project involving music making and conversation focused on listening. Samantha looks forward to cultivating her musicianship to continue to create experiences that touch the hearts of her listeners.
