Spring Bitters Workshop

Here in Wisconsin, we associate bitters with brandy old-fashioneds and the winter wind. But the bitter flavor rarely appears in our modern diets. What can we learn from this forgotten flavor? Come celebrate the “bitter end” of winter and the sweetness of the coming spring by learning about (and tasting!) herbal bitters: how they can support your digestion, liver, and sugar cravings – and why they’re especially important in times of seasonal transition. It will be a hands-on workshop with Carrie of Plant Based Goods; each of us will go home with more knowledge and some bitter herbs of our own! $20 (sliding scale available)
