About the Event

In this single session we will work on a lake scene with a birch tree, step-by-step together.  With all the right colors in your roving kit we will work through special techniques for sky, water, birch bark and foliage to create this fresh landscape.

We will complete the piece during class, working the composition step-by-step.  It is helpful, but not necessary, to have a basic understanding of tools and materials.

All materials are all provided with the $25 material fee, due at class.  These include a kit for each student with a range of dyed wool roving in the project palette, felting needles, acrylic felt pinned to a foam block and printed materials outlining tools, fibers and resources.

Previous needle felting experience is very helpful.  For a thorough introduction to the tools, techniques and materials it is recommended to begin with an introductory workshop, however it is not necessary to complete this in-class project.
