This free event will combine a presentation about Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) with a short, chair-based TCTSY practice.
TCTSY is designed to offer relief from symptoms of complex trauma and PTSD for people who have experienced neglect, verbal or physical abuse, sexual assault, forced loss or displacement, social patterns of targeted oppression and violence (such as racism, homophobia, gender violence, etc), or other human brutality.
At this event you can learn more about TCTSY and its approach to relieving symptoms of complex trauma, with TCTSY facilitator and yoga teacher Clare Norelle; there will also be a short, chair-based TCTSY practice. If interested, women can then register for a women's small group TCTSY practice series for, also to be held at Threshold at 7 pm on Wednesday nights from March 1st through May 10th.
These sessions will be an hour and fifteen minutes long and will run for 10 weeks; the cost for the series is $225, with some partial scholarships available.
