Forward Theater - Learning To Stay: Hub

Forward Theater, the resident professional theater company at Overture Center, is proud to present its first commissioned play, Learning to Stay, about a veteran returning home from Iraq. His wife, Elise, is thrilled, but it soon becomes clear that for Brad, coming home is only the beginning of a long journey. It’s up to Elise to find help for a man who suffers from injuries that neither of them can see or understand. With a story set in Madison, and written and adapted by Wisconsin authors, audiences will find many ways to connect with this deeply personal story.

Join us to hear scenes from the play performed by Forward Theater actors; learn more about the dynamic process of adapting a work for the stage and the inspiration for the production’s set design, lighting, and costumes; and participate in a conversation about what personally resonates with you.

Free. Please RSVP.
For questions or to RSVP, please contact Julia Nicholas, Forward Theater Company at 608-234- 5001 or jnnicholas@forwardtheater.com.
