Open Doors for Refugees Community Celebration Picnic

Olin Park Shelter

Come and Join Open Doors for Refugees Community Celebration Picnic!

Motivated by the devastating refugee crisis in Syria and the increasing number of displaced people in our world, Open Doors for Refugees is a new and growing not-for- profit group* working to raise awareness and build support for welcoming refugees into our community.

Join community members and organizations who are coming together to support the resettlement of refugees in the Madison area.

Food: International cuisine provided by participants, Bunky’s, Banzos, and the Muslim Community.

Fun: Water relay; henna painting; 3-legged race and games reflecting the diversity of our community.

Music: Live music will be provided by the Oudist Colony & Bootsy La Vox.

Learn how you can participate in helping those who are finding a refuge here feel welcome, supported and at home.

This event is free but donations and are welcome to further support the work of Open Doors for Refugees.

Please bring a food dish to share (not required), a open heart and a big sense of fun.
